Am I your favorite GFT blogger?

Lookingforfoodtrucks was nominated and I hope you'll give me your vote. Thanks!!

Who is Your Favorite Local Food Truck Blog?

While Mobile Cuisine is blog/ezine that covers the mobile food industry, there are numerous blogs across the country that cover specific areas that food trucks roam. From New York to Miami and Toronto to Dallas there are bloggers that cover the gamut of mobile food businesses. This poll has been set up to find out which local mobile food blog is the favorite in North America.

I love food-trucks

This poll will run through Friday, November 9th (11:59 PM Central Time). Once the votes have been tabulated, the winner will be announced. The winner will be able to claim the title of Favorite Local Mobile Food Blog as well as have the chance to be part of a feature story here at Mobile Cuisine that delves into the individuals who run these blogs and why they write what they do.

So help us spread the word for your favorites.
Click here and vote for me please! (remember, you can only vote once).

Here is the full list of blogs as well as links to their sites:

TLT Food opens November 1

The Lime Truck opened a brick and mortar version in Westwood (that's near UCLA). The official opening was November 1, but I had a sneak peek of the restaurant and some of the menu items.

The Westwood community will definitely enjoy TLT Food.  The fans of the Lime Truck will recognize the menu, and appreciate there's a place to sit, enjoy the food, and pair the food with a glass of their favorite alcoholic beverage.  For the non drinkers, TLT Food serves Coca Cola products, and of course, the famous Limeaids.

TLT Food is located at:
1116 Westwood Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA  90024

Metered street parking and pay lots are available.  Cash and credit cards are accepted.
Follow them on twitter at @TLTFood.

Centerpiece used for the TLT preview

Unlike the food truck, TLT can serve alcohol

Quirky light fixtures compliment the shades of green
Asian noodle salad
Ahi poke nachos
Sambal wings

Pork belly nachos
Mr Potato taco
Lime panna cotta
Order at the counter...
... then make new friends by dining communal style

Congratulations, Daniel.  Great job with TLT Food!

First Friday at Abbott Kinney, Venice

Started as a community project by Venetian Janet Gervers the AKFF launched 1st Fridays & has promoted Venice & Santa Monica since 2008 http://www.abbotkinney1stfridays.com/

Company Overview
The Page 1 status Google Blog published by a Venice local of over ten years is catering to a Los Angeles audience interested in the urban beach lifestyle in Venice & Santa Monica. The blog was started to help build the First Fridays of the month event back in 2008 when the businesses on the boulevard needed help to expand low attendance of about 50 people. The effort was in conjunction with the Venice Neighborhood Council and the Venice Chamber of Commerce. The event became successful with about 1000 in attendance and the blog expanded to cover all of the Venice community and eventually Santa Monica.

Nov 2: Westchester First Fridays

It's that time... the first Friday of the month!  The ever popular "First Friday" in Westchester is the hottest spot in LA for food trucks.  Check out the trucks, and this band:

They do bluegrass and folk, and a little country western, as well as original material. They've been performing at the Melrose Trading Post, the Brentwood Art Fair, at Long Beach & Manhattan Beach venues as well as Anaheim & West Covina. Stop by, say hi... and if you like their music, give them a tip!

Here as a sample of the music:
