Food trucks at Doll Hut on Sunday

According to Bacon Mania, there will be 4 food trucks + 4 bands at the Doll Hut in Anaheim from 2 to 7 pm.

The event is free.

Chomp Chomp, Rollingsushivan, and Spudrunners are the other food trucks.

Redondo Beach: Barbie's Q, Surfer Taco

Q Sampler & BBQ Beans from Barbies Q
Jack & Mac
Carnitas tacos from Surfers Taco
There is a fundraiser going on today benefiting Redondo Union High (R U High) at 655 Harbor Dr from 11-8 pm.

Trucks scheduled are Barbie's Q (@barbiesq), Surfer Taco (@thesurfertaco), Ragin Cajun (@cajunonwheels), Morocknrolltruk, South Philly (@southphillyexp) & Chunk n Chip. Nom Nom truck double booked and was a no show.

Karen was the group scout & gathered food for us at Barbie's and at Surfer Taco.

The theme today was PORK. At Barbie she picked up the Q Sampler (pulled pork, smoked chicken with bbq beans), the Mac & Jack (macaroni & cheese topped with pulled pork) and at Surfer taco she picked up a 3 pack of carnitas tacos.

Morocknrolltruk & Philly were still prepping, so Karen just left while the food was still warm.

Santa Ana: Food trucks at OCEA

Dos Chinos
The line for Dos Chinos was just as long as everyone else

Shave Ice.. so ono!

The Food truck Friday was at OCEA and Dos Chinos, Crepes Bonaparte, Shortstop Bbq and Tropical Shave Ice were there. Baconmania broke down and was unable to make it.

Anytime there is an event that I am the coordinator, I get butterflies, so I don't really have much of an appetite.  I just snacked on a Butter & Sugar Crepe, and a small Shave Ice.

The event was a success, and I hope everyone had a great time.

Feb 18, OCEA Food Truck Friday in Downtown Santa Ana

rain or shine.... with covered eating area!

Fullerton: The Lime Truck, Rolling Sushi Van

I'm so happy that Thursday nights at the Carter Lanes in Fullerton has become the popular dinner spot.

Tonight, the Lime Truck was featuring Pan Roasted King Cole Duck breast with a brussels sprout mustard slaw. Martin ordered the Ahi Tuna Poke served with an order of fresh tortilla chips.

After my dinner, I also added an udon from Rolling Sushi van to warm up, and then a Tropical Shave Ice (not pictured) to cool down.

There's a new Friday Lunch lot in Santa Ana?? Can someone confirm?

I came across this  but I am not sure who is the host or "resident" truck.
Last week Crepes Bonaparte tweeted this location, and this week ChompChompTruck tweeted it.  I've tweeted and posted on facebook if someone can confirm if this is a new weekly lot, but no one has responded.

Anyhoo, here's the information.  Its right off the 5 freeway, and if you know where the scuba building is, it looks like its near that building.

The addresss tweeted is East 1st St  and Cabrillo Park Drive in Santa Ana,Ca

California taco (chicken, avocado, slaw)
Berry Lychee
It's always nice when there is a food truck at Noble Ale Works before a Ducks hockey game.

Tonight the OC Food Truck was serving up dinner for the thirsty beer drinkers.

Martin had a modified DyNoMite shrimp burger, subbing the bun with bread. Karen had the Mac n Cheese sandwich, and I had the California chicken / avocado taco with the Berry Lychee drink.

Irvine: SeaBirds truck

Please welcome my sister Becky who will be my weekly guest blogger. Due to my busy schedule, I'm not able to attend the Teller lot on Wednesdays and she volunteered to provide a weekly report.

Today's gathering at the Teller lot turned out to be predictably sparse because of the rain. The familiar trucks like Piaggio on Wheels, Barcelona OnTheGo, The Lime Truck, and Seabirds were serving lunch. Guest trucks were BaconMania and The Flavor Rush, making their debut at the Teller Lot.

I kind of chuckled to myself that BaconMania (a truck which sells bacon) was parked right next to Seabirds (a truck which is vegan/ vegetarian). You could sort of figure out from the crowd who was waiting for which truck.

Because of the dreary weather, I wanted something hot, like soup. I think everyone else was thinking the same thing because my boss and I scored the last two bowls of Seabird's white bean soup (and we placed our order just before noon, too!). Unfortunately for the unlucky ones, none of the other trucks were selling soup on their menu (perhaps a hint to the other trucks to add on rainy days?).

In addition to my soup, I ordered 2 of the famous avocado tacos at Seabirds to my lunch.
