The game ended at 3:30, and we originally were going to attend the Anaheim Art Walk. However, that wasn't starting until 6: 30, and I didn't want to hang around 3 hours for food trucks.
We started driving around and saw that Tropical Shave Ice was at Vintage Renewal in Pomona, about 45 minutes from Anaheim.
Martin and I shared a Tocino bowl from TapaboyLA, then I ordered the Lobster Risotto from Vizzitruck.
Vizzi only makes 2 orders of Risotto per day because of the high price (it's a $24 item), and I didn't realize how lucky I was. Since the risotto is cooked to order, I decided to have dessert first at Tropical Shave Ice, and Martin went to the Sweets Truck and had the Gourmet Ding Dong.

Today they also invited food trucks Piaggioonwheels and Dogzilla in the celebration. I went to Piaggio for lunch and ordered a pulled pork taco, an Argentine steak taco, and Caprese (mozzarella, basil, tomatoes) empenadas.
Meanwhile, Martin went to Dogzilla and ordered the namesake, The Dogzilla.
While waiting for my food, Blackmarket was letting the patrons try their pastries. I was able to get a lemon tart, a white cake with italian buttercreme, and a chocolate cake with italian buttercreme.

Today, Anaheim Art Walk
While getting my coffee, the barista asked Martin if we were going to the Anaheim Art Walk. My first thought was, huh? I missed that?
Anyway, tonight there's a truck gathering at downtown Anaheim from 5-11 pm.
Check @seabirdstruck for more info.
Scheduled to appear are Seabirds, Kogi, Barcelona, Crepes bonaparte, Chunk n Chip

Anaheim: Rolling sushi van
After leaving the Fullerton Best Buy, Karen and I went to Noble Ale Works to get some udon from Rolling Sushi Van.
While having our slurpy noodles, we were introduced to their new specials: the tuna tataki salad and the sashimi salad... Both very refreshing!

Fullerton: Baconmania, Shortstop BBQ, Oc Food Truck, Bakery truck
Tonight there was a food gathering at the Best Buy in Fullerton hosted by Truck Squad, with the help of Got Food Trucks.
At Baconmania, I tried the Cheese and Bacon chips, and Karen ordered the "Mom's meatloaf" topped with mashed potatoes and an order of fries. I also ordered my favorite comfort food, the Smoked turkey over creamed corn from the Shortstopbbq truck. Yah, the picture comes out bland, but it's still one of my favorite dish.
Meanwhile, Martin gets the When Pigs Fry sandwich from the OC Food Truck, slightly modified. It's a tempura bacon and avocado sandwich normally with squaw bread, but the truck ran out of the bread and subbed it with sour dough.
We ended this stop with dessert from Bakery Truck, a lemon raspberry cupcake and a strawberry banana shot.
Now... Off to Noble Ale Works in search of SUSHI!

Brea: Piaggio
I was heading to get a massage when I saw that Piaggio was serving lunch off Imperial & Brea Blvd. What luck! I had a craving for the chimi fries & steak.

Irvine: Piaggio on Wheels, The Lime Truck, Dos Chinos, The OC Food Truck, Tropical Shave Ice, Bakery Truck
Tonight the Ducks were in Vancouver, so we were able to make OCDinDinaGoGo.
Piaggio had Brazilian Fish Cakes on the menu and I've been wanting to try it since Lent (of last year).
While walking around, I went to check out the Lime Truck's menu. They had a menu item for $18. I blinked. Not $8... Eighteen. It was a Prime pork tenderloin with risotto. To be more specific, Prararie Farms Prime grade pork tenderloin with risotto cakes, pickled romanesco, stained glass onions & demi glace pears. Whew! They served it on a real plate too (we had to return the plate).
While I was waiting for my food, Martin went to Dos Chinos for his shrimp taco, and went to the OC Food Truck for a Shrimp Tempura burger.
For dessert we went to Tropical Shave Ice, and stopped at The Bakery Truck for a Cream Puff to go.
(I'm trying a new blog software. Apologies if the features are different again)

March 4-6: Los Angeles, SW Regional Barista Competiton
Welcome to the Iron Chef of barista competitions, this three day event is a pre-qualifier to the United States Barista Championship. There are three rounds of judging for this event: the preliminary round, the semi-finals, and the finals. Competitors who advance to the finals will compete against six of the most highly skilled baristas in their region for the title of 2011 South West Regional Barista Champion.
The top six finalists from the #SWBaristaChamp will move on to compete in the #USBC. That winner will represent the United States at the World Barista Championship, which will be held in Bogota, Colombia June 2-5, 2011.
The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® is proud the sponsor the 2011 #SWBaristaChamp for its second year at Siren Studios in Hollywood, CA. Known for its popularity with the tinsel town in-crowd, this privately owned gourmet coffee chain stays true to its roots, infusing the #SWBaristaChamp with some laid back Southern California comfort and fun.
Last year’s event turned out over 600 people throughout the weekend, welcoming gourmet food trucks, live music and some after parties you couldn’t miss.
This year @theCoffeeBean plans to double the attendance, and to feed the masses, they’ll be bringing in LA’s hottest gourmet food trucks, like @ButtermilkTruck, @ManilaMachine, @NomadTruck, @Sugar_Babies Cupcake Truck and more. Again, @theCoffeeBean is set to deliver live musical performances and after parties to celebrate the baristas, the competition and of course to have some fun!
The first 100 people to check in with Foursquare at The Southwest Regional Barista Competition will receive a Coffee Bean bag of swag and coffee goodies. Tweet with us live before and throughout the event @baristaguild, @theCoffeeBean and #SWBaristaChamp to stay on top of the latest event details, food truck arrivals, live bands and after party locations

W. LA: Lee's Philly, Che Truck, India Jones, Lomo Arigato, Chunk n Chip
Every Monday there's a gathering at 10601 W. Washington Blvd. It's pretty far from Orange County (over an hour with decent traffic) so I took advantage of my day off to check it out with Karen and Martin.
Karen started us off by going to Lees Philly and got the Gogi beef taco, and I went to India Jones for the Samosa, an order of nan bread, and a chicken "Frankie", a roti rolled up with curried chicken, cilantro tamarind chutney, chopped onion and egg.
Martin went to (Argentine) Che Truck and ordered the grilled chimichurri steak salad, and I got the pork empenada (the el Fidel) to split with Karen.
The empenada was a little too spicy for Karen, so we also split an order of noodles from Lomo Arigato.
For dessert, Martin and Karen split the Goober Doober, boo-yah made of a chocolate chocolate chip cookie + chocolate chip cookie that sandwiches a mint chocolate chip ice cream.
